Un faux compte Twitter a laissé courir le bruit que le journaliste sportif allait arrêter.

Le journaliste sportif Nelson Monfort ne quittera pas France Télévisions. Mercredi matin, un faux compte Twitter avait laissé courir cette rumeur. "Suite à des désaccords profonds, la direction de France TV et moi-même avons décidé de cesser notre collaboration après Roland-Garros", pouvait-on lire sur le site de microblogging. Joint par téléphone, Nelson Monfort a confirmé à Europe1.fr qu'il s'agissait d'une information erronée et que c'était bien une "usurpation d'identité".
