Comme le souligne Le Lab , la journaliste a effacé tous ses précédents tweets (sauf ses retweets), notamment son message de soutien à Olivier Falorni, le rival de Ségolène Royal, à l'origine d'une polémique nationale.

A l'occasion des fêtes maritimes de Brest, où elle s'était rendue il y a une semaine avec le chef de l'État, Valérie Trierweiler avait affirmé qu'elle ferait preuve de plus de prudence désormais avant de tweeter. "Je tournerai sept fois mon pouce maintenant avant de tweeter", avait-elle assuré.
